Morgan Will Create Sports Car With Diesel-Hybrid Engine

Morgan Motors luxury car manufacturer will provide new surprises, after giving a surprise spawn a sensational GT Eva, now they are preparing to launch a sports car powered by diesel-hybrid.

Managing Director of Morgan Motor, Charles Morgan, told Autocar that after Eva GT, they will produce environmentally friendly LIFEcar second.

Referred to as “weekend fun vehicle”, this is the production version of the concept car that had launched the concept LIFEcar when mat Geneva Motor Show in 2008.

LIFEcar 2 is a sports car with diesel-electric hybrid engine that will have a range of more than 1600 km, so that really would be a car that efficient and environmentally friendly.

Morgan said that he was very proud of how the company has grown in the last two years, but change is necessary to meet the more stringent restrictions in CO2 emissions.

“We’ll probably use more efficient powerplants. But I hope will be the same construction methods,” said Morgan.

However, so far no further explanation about the specifications of the manufacturer of diesel-electric hybrid sportcar, LIFEcar this second. So just what are we waiting for Morgan’s dream.

Solar Powered Tooth Brush

A toothbrush can be a high-tech tools that are environmentally friendly. Toothbrush that uses a solar panel is a sophisticated innovation from Japan.

This information I ‘ve got from Tg Daily, they told a unique tool called Soladey-J3X and designed by Dr. Kunio Komiyama with Dr.  Gerry Uswak.

This toothbrush using different way of working with traditional toothbrushes in general. Ie it does not require toothpaste when it used.

This can be done and your mouth was claimed to be free from germs. Because, Soladey-J3X utilizing solar panels to transmit electrons to the brush head.

Electrons will then react with the acid in the mouth and creates a chemical reaction that can break down plaque and kill bacteria.

The reliability of this instrument was already tested by a company called The Shiken. When I tried to be tested, said Soladey-J3X able to prove themselves in killing bacteria that hide in the surrounding teeth.

Let’s wait it sale at supermarkets.

Let’s Use of Energy Alternatives For Home

alternative energy for homeEveryone knows that higher energy costs from year to year. That is just one of the main reasons I wrote this article. The tendency of the houses in the design of future support of alternative energy sources other than the use of energy efficient equipment. The mean energy alternati penggati energy sources and fossil fuels more environmentally friendly, because we have to continue living in the 21st century and beyond.

The tendency of this alternative energy use driven by the role of government is also anxious to reduce their dependence on the supply of fossil fuels for electricity generation. The government sometimes also provide support for research and development of alternative energy to become energy independent producers and reduce the sense of worry about rising oil costs and environmental pollution. Microgeneration of energy will be the main energy supplier of households with wind turbine technology, solar thermal and solar panels.

For energy-producing companies, they also have signed on to efforts to get the benefits of alternative energy in a bigger scale. Carbon Free cites the example of British electricity companies reported that they are seriously researching and developing power generation facilities utilizing geothermal energy. Currently, most electricity companies see the source of heat energy from the earth will be very menguntukan in the future. However, the use of alternative energy still considering the cost. Imagine if a power company to develop thousands of solar panels or solar heat, they will require a huge additional cost for installation thus becomes uneconomical.

Greenpeace Fight Facebook

Greenpeace opposed the popular social network owned by Mark Zuckerberg. Facebook accused of trying to destroy the earth for the use of natural energy resources is very wasteful to its website operational. Greenpeace supported the rejection of Action 8000 people.

Fox News Channel announces that the controversy arose when Facebook will build a data storage center in the state of Oregon, United States, on Wednesday, 04/08/2010.

This plan was opposed by Greenpeace due to operate the data center, Facebook will spend 30 megawatts of electricity supply or the same as the electricity needs of 30 000 homes.

Not only that, to meet the electricity needs will have many natural resources are wasted. Mentioned, 58% for electricity supply comes from coal power plants owned by Pacific Corp., based in Wyoming and Utah, USA.

Quoted from News, city officials Prineville, Oregon, itself just does not agree with the rejection of Greenpeace. They argue that with such development, more than 200 jobs will be open so reduce unemployment.

State of Oregon has a relatively high unemployment rates, ie 16.4% of the population. Previously, in the city there are five large sawmills, but it was closed because of program restrictions on logging to protect the environment.

City Prinville deliberately chosen because it has a high desert climate and cold at night, nearly four degrees Celsius, even during the summer. Cold conditions will make the server is not fast so the use of electric heat will be less.

Facebook itself has denied Greenpeace, as well as claims development data center that spends U.S. $ 200 million fund that would be, would be built with green standards of environmentally friendly alias.

Small Electric Car from Korea

CT&T is the Korean vehicle manufacturer from Korea which is specialized to make electric cars. They was introduce the electric car called the e-Zone.

e-Zone is a small-sized electric car, with  low-speed capability only. However, the car is not assembled in Korea but in the factory located in Sout Carolina, USA.

To complete the project CT & T announced it would invest U.S. $ 21 million to build their first factory there. Factories will have a capacity of 30,000 electric cars per year, but for starters, CT & T will build the first car 10 000 workers per year with 370 workers.

South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford of course delighted with the idea of making the green vehicles to the public. For Carolina, he also sees this as an encouragement for their local economy.

“Currently, this is the best vehicle for people who live, work and play in the same place. That which I consider to interfere with the electric car industry is now the community wants (electric car) can do the same thing with gasoline vehicles,” said Chief Artie 2AM Operating Officer of Perry who became the partner of CT&T.

For this plan, Korean car made in America will be released with prices starting at U.S. $ 13 thousand, or approximately USD 117.4 million and targeting the urban community as the target consumers.

This car can only run with a speed of 45 km/h and able to walk 70 km with a single charge thanks to lithium ion battery applications. CT & T had hoped this car could hit the market electric cars in America. Moreover CT & T U.S. market is predicted to still save up to 38 million consumers.

“When you are new to the establishment, you can not become a radical by spending your money just to operate the car,” said Chief Operating Officer of CT&T, Joseph White.

Hybrid Cars: The Answer to High Gas Prices?

High oil and gas prices are here to stay. This has many people wondering what they can do to save money at the pump.

Hybrid cars have touted themselves as a great way to save money. Many owners of hybrids believed this upon purchase and soon found out that the gas mileage estimates were very overrated. Data from independent product-testing organization Consumer Reports indicates that hybrid cars get less than 60 percent of EPA estimates while navigating city streets. In Consumer Reports’ real-world driving test, the Civic Hybrid averaged 26 mpg in the city, while the Toyota Prius averaged 35 mpg, much less than their respective EPA estimates of 47 and 60 mpg. Hybrid cars performed much closer to EPA estimates in Consumer Reports’ highway tests.

This discrepancy could be due in part to the way the EPA conducts its tests. The EPA tests actually gauge fuel emissions to estimate fuel efficiency. Hybrid cars use computers to control the flow of gasoline and have more efficient catalytic converters, which reduce the amount of emissions. This may contribute to the disparity between EPA estimates and actual vehicle mileage achieved.

Hybrid car buyers pay a premium of a couple of thousand extra dollars over what others are paying for a comparable car. By most calculations, this extra expense will not be recouped in gas savings by the owner. The hybrid cars currently on the market cost from $3500 to $6000 more per car than comparable cars with conventional gas engines. This means that the amount of money you save, or don’t save, by buying a hybrid is very much dependent on gasoline prices. It’s no wonder that the average hybrid buyer has a substantially higher income than the average regular car buyer– $100,000 versus $85,000.

Hybrid buyers may be saving on gas, but they are sporting a much more expensive battery. The cost of hybrid batteries ranges from $1,000 to $3,000, although we have gotten reports of some hybrid owners being quoted $4,800 to $8,000! This could be due to the current high demand for hybrid cars. And, although the hybrid battery may be covered under the car’s warranty, once the warranty expires, you could find yourself in for more of a ‘charge’ than you expected.

Hybrid cars may not be all they’re cracked up to be. Their gas mileages are overestimated and maintenance costs can be high. It also costs quite a bit more just to purchase one and these extra costs won’t be made up for with fuel savings. Toyota Prius

Mobilephone Industry More Environmentally Friendly

The success of LG Display Co. LTD. develop LCD equipped with solar cells capability to make e-reader production that powered by solar. However, the e-reader manufacturers have not dared to predict the future of e-reader powered by solar succeed in the marketplace.

With solar power, an electronic device is becoming more environmental friendly because they do not need to consume fossil energy power plants. Power plant fuel oil or coal as a principal valued environmental pollution on earth.

For the environmental conservation, the electronics manufacturers to move more aggressively introduce products environmental friendly, mobilephone.

Mobilephone from the Korean producers, Samsung, in October 2009 released a mobilephone with first touch screen powered by solar. This Mobilephone named BlueEarth.

“Samsung Blue Earth is not only new addition in our products. Samsung Blue Earth is an important breakthrough in our efforts to protect the environment,” said Executive Vice Presdent of Samsuing, JK Shin.

In BlueEarth, their put photovoltaic on the back side of mobilephone. When BlueEarth not used, this mobilephone placed facing the rear side position of light sources, Sunlights.

BlueEarth use the used materials alias PCM (Post Consumer Material). Preferred plastic from mineral water bottles. In addition the material is free from harmful chemicals such as BFRs (brominatted flame retardants), PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and photohalate.

Recycled materials used BlueEarth, similar to materials used by the artificial mobilephone Nokia, MOTO W233 Renew, which is marketed in early 2009. Only MOTO W233 is not equipped with solar cells. Motorola also uses recycled paper for packaging boxes made this mobilephone.

Manufacturer mobilephone of LG also getting ready to market environmentally friendly products by introducing them to February 2009. Unfortunately, until now, LG has not sold the friendly mobilephone.

Solar mobilephone actually rely on batteries as its energy source. Solar cells able to drive mobilephone upto 3 minutes each subjected to sunlight for 10 minutes earlier. To recharge the batteries still use the battery charger. However the user is recommended to fill betere by using sunlight to reduce electricity usage.

In an emergency, where power lines are not available and only sunlight are available. Solar cells is very useful for this condition.

Solar Cell In e-Reader

Research firm of ISupply Corp. explained the e-reader sales reached 150.000 units in 2007. But they believed will continue to increase up to 18.3 million units in 2012.

E-reader technology (gadgets for reading digital books) is growing rapidly. LCD panel makers from korea, LG, presents an e-reader device with LCD viewer is equipped with photovoltaic. Hence, e-reader can operate without batteries.

E-reader industry currently is dominated by 3 main players, namely the Kindle Amazon.com Inc., Sony with the Reader, and Barner & Noble Inc. with Nook. All the e-reader in the market are powered by batteries.

Batteries on e-reader is always recharge when his power began to weaken. Surely the owner of the e-reader must be patient to read as e-reader battery was being charged. LG applying solar cells to reduce this problem. With the support of the supply of solar energy, an e-reader does not need to connect to the electrical terminal because it could be charge from the sun.

“E-reader is always in demand because of the gadget can accommodate thousands of books. With solar cells, an e-reader can be used much longer without having to be connected to electrical terminals” said Head of Solar Cell Office LG Display Co. Ltd., Ki-Yong Kim.

10×10 cm size of solar cells can operate up to 1 day after charge by solar energy for 4 to 5 hours. Solar cells also makes it comfortable owner in a difficult journey to find the electric terminal. Motorola hopes its e-reader’s become standard in the future.

However, LG does not plan to produce e-reader of their own. But working with other producers of e-reader that already exist, such as Sony, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Why Buy Energy Efficient Appliances?

When purchasing a new home appliance, a lot of people have the tendency to go straight to the discount department and select the cheapest models available. Sometimes the difference in price can be indeed significant, but is it really worth it?

You have to be aware that most of the time, the cheapest models of appliances are far from being the most energy efficient ones, which is why is highly recommended to select the model which is likely to produce future benefits, rather than just having a reduced price on the shelf. In other words, if you end up by buying a fridge that is more expensive than the discounted models, but has, on the other hand, the energy saving option available, you will discover that it is worth the extra money because the energy costs will be reduced.

In order to make sure the appliance you are about to purchase has the right kind of features there are some simple steps to follow: carefully read the label or the user guide; try to compare the energy consumption for apparently similar models; do not forget to consider both the price and the estimated energy consumption when deciding on a specific model.

The main reason, however, for which you should turn towards an energy efficient model, is related, first of all, to the amount you pay for your utility bills. However, it is as well, very important to keep in mind the fact that the use of all these appliances help reducing the pollution in the air and conserving natural resources.

Despite the fact the majority of the home appliance brands available on the market do meet energy conservation standards, you have to be aware that some models are more energy efficient than others, which is why you should not hurry into taking any decision, before reviewing all the possible options.
